Assistant Content Creator

The Executive Council of Aus­trali­an Jewry (ECAJ) is seeking to appoint an Assistant Content Creator to support the delivery of digital com­mu­nic­a­tions across its platforms. This is a full-time entry level position, based in Melbourne, Australia. 

The role is focused on sup­port­ing the creation, coordin­a­tion, and per­form­ance mon­it­or­ing of digital content across social media, website, and e‑communications. This position is suited to an organised, creative and motivated indi­vidu­al looking to develop practical exper­i­ence in a fast-paced com­mu­nic­a­tions envir­on­ment. 

Key responsibilities 

Working with the Head of Content and reporting to the Social Media & Marketing Manager:

  • Support the creation and delivery of engaging digital content across ECAJ’s platforms. 
  • Monitor key per­form­ance indic­at­ors (KPIs) such as email open rates and recommend refine­ment of digital strategies. 
  • Con­trib­ute creative ideas and input to support campaigns and com­mu­nic­a­tions ini­ti­at­ives. 
  • Assist with the devel­op­ment, schedul­ing, and pub­lish­ing of content. 
    Support day-to-day digital activity across social media, website, and e‑communications. 
  • Monitor content per­form­ance and con­trib­ute to con­tinu­ous improve­ment. 
  • Stay across digital trends to inform fresh and relevant content approaches. 
  • Provide general support to the digital and com­mu­nic­a­tions team as required. 

Skills and experience 

  • Early-career pro­fes­sion­al or recent graduate in com­mu­nic­a­tions, marketing, media, or a related field. 
  • Strong written com­mu­nic­a­tion skills and attention to detail. 
  • Interest in digital platforms, social media, and content creation. 
  • Famili­ar­ity with content creation and schedul­ing tools is desirable.

  • Organised, reliable, and respons­ive. 
  • Proactive and willing to learn. 
  • Able to work col­lab­or­at­ively in a small, fast-paced team. 
  • Pro­fes­sion­al and aligned with ECAJ’s role as the peak rep­res­ent­at­ive body of the Jewish community in Australia.
