ECAJ’s Australia Day 2025 message.

Whichev­er way we choose to mark Aus­tralia Day, it is an oppor­tu­ni­ty to look ahead, deter­mined that Aus­tralia will be an even bet­ter place for future gen­er­a­tions. It is a day when each of us can ded­i­cate our­selves to the fur­ther devel­op­ment of our coun­try in a spir­it that reflects the best aspects of our tra­di­tions and val­ues.

At this time espe­cial­ly, let us find the courage to speak out against hatred and big­otry of every kind, and those who seek to divide and weak­en our nation. Regard­less of recent events, our Jew­ish community’s love for this land and its First Peo­ples shines bright.

Let us strength­en our bonds, and look out for and be com­pas­sion­ate towards one anoth­er, to make our coun­try the bea­con of free­dom, oppor­tu­ni­ty and jus­tice that it has always aspired to be.
