Interview with 2GB: Calls for whole of Hezbollah to be listed as a terrorist organisation

In a letter to Prime Minister Scott Morrison and to Minister of Home Affairs Peter Dutton last year, the Executive Council of Australian Jewry (ECAJ) argued that by listing only Hezbollah’s external security organisation as a terrorist organisation, “Australia has been endorsing a fiction. Hezbollah leaders themselves have openly and repeatedly declared that no substantive separation exists between its different wings”.

Hezbollah controls the major port and airport in Beirut.  After the horrific explosion in Beirut Port on August 4 which killed more than 200 people, Hezbollah is once again coming under international scrutiny.  Listen to ECAJ co-CEO Peter Wertheim being interviewed on the subject by 2GB’s Michael McLaren.
