Rachelie Epstein recalls her late friend, Golani Brigade sniper Joshua Boone

After 748 days of active service following October 7, Joshua Boone struggled with PTSD.

Thanks to his skill as a marksman, he’d saved countless lives. But, ultimately, the strain was too much and he couldn’t save his own.

Rachelie lit a candle for Joshua at Melbourne’s Yom Hazikaron commemoration on Monday night and shared his story.

Here she tells ECAJ about her remarkable friend and how his struggle is now a national issue in Israel.
