Joint statement re University of Melbourne Students Union

The Aus­trali­an Jewish community has united behind the Aus­tralasi­an Union of Jewish Students (AUJS) in fighting the latest egregious anti-Israel and antisemitic motion put forward by the lead­er­ship of the Uni­ver­sity of Melbourne Students Union.  A joint statement by the ECAJ and other major Jewish organ­isa­tions con­demning the motion can be accessed here

A similar motion in May was withdrawn by the Students Union after the Uni­ver­sity condemned it as “antisemitic”.
