Refreshing our look

Refreshing our look

ECAJ is celebrating 80 years as the voice of the Australian Jewish community, with a new look honouring our past and reflecting who we are today.

ECAJ was established in 1944 by state Jewish community roof bodies as the national voice of the Australian Jewish community to government, in the media, in the community, and around the world.

80 years later we are refreshing our look, honouring our past and reflecting who we are today:

Our new logo’s prominent menorah and blue and gold colours honour our past:

  • The menorah is the ancient and enduring symbol of the Jewish people. The menorah was a central item in the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. Depictions of it have been found in 2000-year-old Jewish artifacts found in Israel such as coins, synagogues, and tombs.
  • The blue and gold colours are inherited from our previous logo. Blue is a deeply significant colour in our Jewish tradition and practice.

Our new logo’s modern design leading with our initials “ECAJ” reflects who we are today:

  • Our “ECAJ” initials by which we’re known today are front and centre in our new brand.
  • The modern design is clean and simple and suited to the digital channels we use today.
