ECAJ’s Australia Day 2025 message.
Whichever way we choose to mark Australia Day, it is an opportunity to look ahead, determined that Australia will be an even better place for future generations. It is a day when each of us can dedicate ourselves to the further development of our country in a spirit that reflects the best aspects of our traditions and values.
At this time especially, let us find the courage to speak out against hatred and bigotry of every kind, and those who seek to divide and weaken our nation. Regardless of recent events, our Jewish community’s love for this land and its First Peoples shines bright.
Let us strengthen our bonds, and look out for and be compassionate towards one another, to make our country the beacon of freedom, opportunity and justice that it has always aspired to be.
